Me
My name is Yoana Baldzhieva, and I am from Bulgaria. I have graduated from the University of South Wales studying Fashion Design. I come from a small but ancient country and my final collection is dedicated to my country’s heritage and traditions. I have created my collection with an objective to show my gratitude to where I come from and even though I was raised in a small country I have a broader worldview. Traditions remind us that we are part of a history that defines our past, shapes who we are today and who we are likely to become. Once we ignore the meaning of our traditions, we’re in danger of damaging the underpinning of our identity.

The garments designed by YDB.studio are inspired by family and heritage. Many members of my family have deep love for art, preserve the roots of artistic expressions alive and pass those from generation to generation. We value nature, the abstract and history and look for meaningful ways to demonstrate their value to the world, as well as to enrich them through our creations. We seek harmony, peace and meaning whilst dare to be bold, provocative and creative. The cultural heritage of my country dates back to the neo-lithic period and this offers a vast variety of cultural and aesthetic articulations, an interpretation of which we aim to offer through our collections.
YDB.studio is a brand that retains deep meaning behind each garment. More and more people recognize themselves and their identity through our garments. YDB.studio is concentrated in the segment of affordable luxury which is the best way to combine quality and price. We seek to provide an opportunity to add comfort to our aesthetic creations to make our garments attractive to all cutomers.
